Aftermath: Beyond Black Saturday

On the 10th anniversary of one of Australia's most devastating natural disasters this inspiring documentary will focus on how The Black Saturday bushfires have changed these rural communities as well as Australia as a nation. Some new characters will appear in this film who can shed light on the variety of experiences people have had over the last decade. People like Jon Faine from ABC local radio who spent the entire weekend trying to keep people updated on the fire, and Christine Nixon, then chief commissioner of Victorian Police, who has worked tirelessly for the survivors of the fire after a rocky start, and representatives from organisations that emerged since the fires – like BlazeAid and Yellow Ribbon.
