Guitarist Slava Grigoryan won the Award for Best Classical Album, for Bach Cello Suites Volume I.
‘Nowhere Boys’, ‘Operation Ouch!’ and ‘Shaun The Sheep’ among ABC Commercial titles recognised.
Nominations for the 20th annual British Academy Children’s Awards were announced today, with critically acclaimed ABC Commercial distributed titles Nowhere Boys, Shaun The Sheep, Wolfblood and Operation Ouch! all receiving nominations.
Fan favourite Nowhere Boys has been nominated in the international category, highlighting the series’ incredible strength of story and broad appeal to both children and critics alike. The nomination comes as yet another honour for the series, after having won last year’s TV Week Logie Award for ‘Most Outstanding Children’s Program’, in addition to winning the award for ‘Best Children’s Television Series’ at the 4th annual AACTA Awards – an honour it is expected to once again contend for at this year’s ceremony.
Operation Ouch! also received two nods, the first for presenters and twin brothers Alexander and Chris Van Tulleken, who were nominated in the best presenter category, with the second a nomination for best factual program – an honour the show was bestowed with last year.
In addition, Shaun The Sheep received a nomination for best animation, with ABC3’s supernatural series Wolfblood nominated for best drama.
Winners will be revealed on November 22nd at an awards ceremony to be held in London. The full list of nominated titles distributed by ABC Commercial is below:
