GO BUSH ON AN EPIC ADVENTURE INTO THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK
Filmed on traditional country around the remote Indigenous community of Ramingining in Australia’s Northern Territory, Black As captures the contemporary lives of three young Indigenous men and their adopted white brother as they go on a series of madcap adventures across croc-infested waters and the wild Australian outback.
Cutting across cultural boundaries and filmed almost entirely in the native language of Djambarrpuyngu, this charming short-form factual entertainment series follows the four brothers as they venture out on bush trips to hunt, forage and fish, while honouring the land and their ancestral law.
Throughout their journeys, there are numerous delays and obstacles. Their every movement is dictated by the tides and frustrated by flooded creeks and fallen trees. Equipment creaks and cracks and cars conk out in the harsh bush environment.
But with tireless persistence and legendary humour, the four brothers battle through it all together – drawing on their vast pool of ingenuity and resourcefulness to always save the day.
